Featuring a unibody construction and all-wheel drive, the 1996 RHD Honda CR-V AWD set the stage for the successful CRV lineup that continues to thrive in the automotive market today. This Bone Stock, Ultra Clean example of a JDM 1996 Honda CRV is one you need to see.

The Silver Metallic paint looks excellent with almost no blemishes or imperfections throughout. The Rear-mounted spare tire cover is still in great condition as well, and it’s a unique choice the Honda design team made that still has fantastic curb appeal. The factory 15 inch wheels are wrapped up in some Economy spec Hifly HF201 tires for reduced road noise and increased efficiency. The Factory hubcaps could use a little bit of touchup, but are not in bad condition by any means. The headlights and taillights are crystal clear which is impressive considering the vehicles age. When the vehicle arrived here at J-Spec, the most significant “imperfection” on this vehicle was that it had some minor dings on some of the doors from being hit by car doors in Japan. We have since done a simple dent and ding pulling job, and it’s back to its factory shape with no repercussions!

Despite the ultra clean exterior, the interior of this CRV is where it really shines! The gray cloth interior is completely mint and even features the OEM cloth floor mats in superb condition as well. Interior has seen absolutely no modification and features many of the unique quirks that made so many enthusiasts love the CRV. Among these are a fold down center console, that allows pass-through to the rear. Other unique features include a dual glove box, a coin, compartment, and even a fold up CRV branded pop-up table in the trunk! The CRV still comes with its spare tire equipment and has the factory manuals with some additional history inside as well. On the dashboard, there’s also a trash bin, and a Hidden Honda Cassette Deck for Media. One very cool feature. That enthusiast will appreciate is the Honda Navigation system with Gyro GPS and the original remote. All of the power features function phenomenally, including, but not limited to the power windows, air conditioning, and audio. Inside you will also find some headliner rails for mounting and storage, that also feature some grab handles for the rear passengers. The trunk of the vehicle opens up in its own unique and quirky way, similar to that of Hard top Jeeps. The rear glass opens upwards for easy access to cargo, and the remaining door section swings outward for storing larger items. The Interior of this CRV is incredibly clean, and we couldn’t find any imperfections worthy of note.

Under the Hood, the first thing you will notice is how incredibly clean the engine bay is. Sitting front and center is the CRV’s B20 2.0 liter inline 4 cylinder engine. With its automatic transmission, this CRV is the perfect contender for a reliable daily driver! All-wheel-drive makes the vehicle much more practical and usable in all weather conditions. The Engine fires up instantly and idles smoothly. No drivetrain modifications have been made, which is very nice to see. The most Jaw-dropping aspect of this Honda CRV is its incredibly low mileage sitting at 36,053 verified kilometers. That translates to 22,402 miles over the lifespan of this suv which translates to 829 miles driven per year!
