Vehicle History

Suzuki Cappuccino Kei Car:

Have you ever heard of the Suzuki Cappuccino? This unique two-seater convertible sports car was introduced by Suzuki in 1991 and quickly gained popularity as a lightweight and affordable option for car enthusiasts. Its tiny size, retractable roof, and zippy performance made it a beloved choice for driving enthusiasts looking for a fun and quirky ride. This 1995 Sports model is no different, and offers a lot in a tiny JDM package.

The color scheme on this particular Suzuki you’re sure to appreciate, with an iconic Green-on-red-on-light-gray palette that screams race-car! The Dark Green paint is still in great condition, and the red accent stripe adds an extra visual element that draws positive attention. A “Sportsmind” decal on the front lets you know this isn’t any normal cappuccino. Much to the benefit of its new driver, this Hardtop has T-Top sections as well as a fully removable shell so you can feel the wind in your hair on the road. This one even appears to have an additional soft shell that came with it in the trunk of the vehicle. Such a small car doesn’t need large wheels, so the lightweight 14 inch wheels offer a low-resistance ride that still has all of the grip and handling required for this little car. Wrapped up in some healthy Yokohama Ecos tires with plenty of life left, you’ll be fine for daily driving for many miles to come, or you can swap out for some stickier compounds for hitting the track or backroads. The exterior is in fantastic condition, and doesn’t have any signs of damages, dents, or dings.

Simple and sporty is the name of the game inside as well. The Light gray checkerboard bolstered seats are still in great condition with very minor wear on the driver side. The seats match the same checkerboard Suzuki floor mats, and look excellent! In front of the driver is a red and black steering wheel that while small- offers quick and direct access to the front wheels, and makes darting around the road easier. To complement the exterior as well, a Red pinstripe on the dash matches up well with the exterior as well. Even though these are small cars, they offer a fantastic seating position! You are positioned deep and low, and the space can accomodate persons up to 6 foot with ease, with the ability to fit even larger drivers or passengers as necessary. The Cappuccino features a simple interior, and while there aren’t many button’s or knobs, each of the components like A/C, power windows, and audio function without hitch. A few very minor mods accommodate the interior, being a Kenwood RDT-151 Head unit, Alpine speakers, and an aftermarket boost gauge.

What makes the Cappuccino so unique is that it is a sports Kei car. That means it is limited to an engine displacement of 660cc, along with size and weight restrictions. Because this is a sports model, and one equipped with Suzuki sports equipment, it drives and handles like a go-kart for the streets. This cappuccino features a 660cc K6A turbo charged inline 3 cylinder mated up to an automatic transmission. Suzuki Sport shocks sit on all four corners of the vehicle for a tighter and more direct suspension response. A Suzuki Sport Racing Exhaust sings a more aggressive note than stock, and lets the K6A breathe a little better. As far as modifications go, this Suzuki has Monster Motorsports intercooler piping, and some healthy NGK Sparkplugs. The best thing about this Cappuccino is its low mileage with 87,773 verified kilometers which translates over to 54,549 miles. This cappuccino is a unique vehicle that Is sure to turn heads whether its on a Sunday drive, or Cars and Coffee!
