Ings Blobeye Front End Fitment

2004–2005 WRX and STI Sedan

On a 2004–2005 Impreza WRX or STI sedan, this Ings Blobeye front end bolts straight on. Therefore, the set works well for collision repair or for a quick JDM tuner makeover. However, if your car came with halogen headlights, plan for the HID wiring and ballasts.

2002–2003 Bugeye Conversion

On a 2002–2003 WRX, the Blobeye works as a conversion rather than a bolt-on. First, your installer swaps in the Blobeye radiator support, usually by drilling out spot welds. Next, they trim the metal behind the headlights so the new headlights fit. After that, they rewire the headlights to match. Finally, a body shop can blend the paint if your color differs.

2006–2007 Hawkeye Conversion

Likewise, a Hawkeye-to-Blobeye conversion requires swapping the radiator support. In short, plan any conversion with a body shop or an experienced Subaru installer.
