Fitment

2004–2005 WRX and STI Sedan

On a 2004–2005 Impreza WRX or STI sedan, these parts bolt straight on. Therefore, the set works well for collision repair or for upgrading to JDM STI parts. However, if your car came with halogen headlights, plan for the HID wiring and ballasts.

2002–2003 Bugeye Conversion

On a 2002–2003 WRX, the Blobeye works as a conversion rather than a bolt-on. First, your installer swaps in the Blobeye radiator support, usually by drilling out spot welds. Next, they trim the metal behind the headlights so the new headlights fit. After that, they rewire the headlights to match. Finally, a body shop can blend the paint if your color differs.

2006–2007 Hawkeye Conversion

Likewise, a Hawkeye-to-Blobeye conversion requires swapping the radiator support. In short, plan any conversion with a body shop or an experienced Subaru installer.

Will this front end bolt onto my 2004–2005 WRX or STI?

Yes. On a 2004–2005 sedan, the panels and headlights bolt directly into place. However, halogen-equipped cars need HID wiring.

Can I put a Blobeye front end on a 2002–2003 Bugeye?

Yes, as a conversion. Typically, you’ll swap the radiator support, trim behind the headlights and rewire the headlights.

Can I convert a 2006–2007 Hawkeye to a Blobeye?

Yes. In that case, you’ll also need to swap the radiator support.

Does it fit a wagon?

No. These are sedan fenders, so wagon owners need wagon-specific panels.
