L15C vs L15B7: What to Know

Honda built the L15 turbo in several versions for different markets. In the US, the 2016–2021 Civic 1.5T used the L15B7. Meanwhile, the Japanese-market Civic used the L15C. Both share the same basic design, including direct injection and a timing chain. Still, versions can differ in some sensors, accessories and calibration.
