Before You Install

• Clean or replace the transmission cooler and lines so debris from the failed unit can’t reach the new one
• Use fresh Toyota ATF WS only (never Type T-IV), and set the level with Toyota’s temperature-check method
• Make sure the torque converter is fully seated before bolting the transmission to the engine
• Check the transmission mounts and the engine’s rear main seal while you have access
• Scan for codes and run any required Toyota relearn after installation
