This is not your ordinary R32 Skyline GTST. At first glance, one may actually mistake it for the famed Skyline GTR, Nissan’s legendary All Wheel Drive Twin Turbo supercar killer. Upon further inspection, however, this Skyline appears to be an extremely well done example of the GTR’s rear wheel drive twin brother, and after a short drive on this big-turbo RB20, the 2.6l powerplant and awd drivetrain of the GTR is hardly missed. With Godzillas reaching mid 40,000 dollar price tags, we’d argue that this R32 GTS-T, optioned in Type M trim, is just as fun for half the cost, due to the previous owner’s care of the vehicle and well assembled mod list. Starting with the exterior. The first thing you might notice is the R32 GTR front end conversion, which completely transforms the look of the car. The body appears to have a bit of repaint work done, however it appears to be professionally done and blends in well with the rest of the car. The front bumper features the ever-popular Nismo N1 style bumper vents which add a perfectly aggressive touch to the otherwise streamlined body of this GTST. The bumper flows well with the OEM Type M side skirts, and an aftermarket rear bumper finishes off this subtly aggressive body kit by making the rear appear wider. The trunk has been swapped with a GTR decklid and spoiler, and an additional carbon fiber lip spoiler draws inspiration from the NISMO GTR. Tinted Tomei taillights and NISMO HID Headlights are an excellent replacement for the stock units as well. Last but not least, a set of OEM R32 GTR wheels have been installed, a massive improvement over the undersized OEM equipment on the GTS-T type M. The interior of this Type M is raw and driver focused, providing the driver with all the amenities needed to get every input from the vehicle in real time. The driver’s seat has been swapped with a fixed-back Recaro bucket. The cockpit is adorned with a wide array of different gauges, tuning devices, and more. Defi gauges monitor oil temperature, oil pressure, fuel pressure, boost, and exhaust temperature, and water temperature is monitored by a Yashio factory digital readout. All gauges and sensors are working and make the cockpit of this skyline feel like a true race car! If the aforementioned gauges weren’t enough, the previous owner also installed a knock meter in the glovebox, an HKS EVC digital boost controller, and an Apexi SAFC display, which can be used to tune air fuel ratios. Simply put, if something fails on this Skyline the driver can’t say the car didn’t warn them! The stock steering wheel has been swapped out for a clean MOMO Race model, and the factory gauge cluster has been swapped out for an IMPUL model, which raises the speed limit to 260 km/h. This cluster replaces the factory odometer, so the car currently reads 106,943 non verified kilometres. While this translates to just 66k miles, the condition of the vehicle suggests that the odometer may have been altered to match the original mileage as the body is extremely clean and rust free. Pop the hood and you’re greeted with a well modded, healthy RB20DET engine. This RB20 has been equipped with all the necessary bolt ons, including an Apexi intake, HKS exhaust, custom dual catch can, aftermarket front mount intercooler, upgraded coil packs, and a Blitz blow off valve. This RB20 is also equipped with a larger turbo and aftermarket camshaft, which gives this Skyline smoother acceleration and a much needed power boost! We are unsure of how this setup has been tuned, but it runs healthy and strong. Turn the key and the RB20 fires right up without a hitch. Taking off with the GMAX twin plate clutch is incredibly easy, and shifts through the 5 speed manual transmission are tight and smooth thanks to an aftermarket short shifter! One of the most unique parts of this GTS-T is the OSGiken 2 way differential. Ideal for drifting, this LSD does wonders to aid the handling of the vehicle, whether you’re straight or sideways! A set of top of the line Tein Circuit master coilovers, with external reservoirs keep this baby Godzilla planted throughout the corners, paired with a set of Ikeya Formula upper links, this Skyline is capable of doing whatever you throw at it! This is a truly versatile R32 GTS-T. With aggressive looks and a mod list long enough to make your head spin, the opportunities are truly endless. Drift it, track it, or keep it as a street car, it’s your choice. This R32 is a driver’s car meant to be driven.
