INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

Before installing Item 46219, thoroughly flush the transmission cooler and cooler lines. A failed transmission can leave contaminated ATF, clutch material and metal debris in the cooling circuit.

Inspect accessible seals while the transmission is outside the vehicle, including the torque-converter/front seal and axle seals.

Verify whether the torque converter is included with this exact transmission. If included, compare it with the original and make sure the converter is fully seated before mating the transmission to the engine.

Never use the bellhousing bolts to pull the transmission onto the engine.

After installation, fill the transmission with the correct Honda/Acura ATF and set the fluid level according to the applicable service procedure.

Scan the vehicle for transmission-related diagnostic trouble codes and perform applicable reset or learning procedures.
