We have been getting a ton of clean R33 GTS25T’s in stock recently, and this one is no exception! Compared to other JDM icons, the R33 Nissan Skyline has always been considered a bit of an underdog. With smoother, more bulbous bodylines than its predecessors, it took enthusiasts a while to adjust to Nissan’s new design language in the mid 1990’s. Now that they’re legal overseas, where Skylines were once considered unobtanium, the R33 is finally getting its time to shine. The R33 GTS25T model in particular is undoubtedly a fan favorite amongst Nissan enthusiasts in the USA. With a stout and powerful RB25DET turbocharged I6 and precise handling dynamics the R33 is one of the best driving classic JDM cars you can still get at a relatively affordable price. This 1994 model year example was optioned from the factory in desirable “Type M” trim with the factory 5 speed manual transmission, and is conservatively modified to deliver just enough driving excitement over stock! Finished in a beautiful coat of Nissan’s KL0 silver metallic, this sleek skyline turns heads wherever it goes thanks to some tasteful exterior modification. The vehicle does show signs of prior body work, however all the panels match, and all work appears to have been done properly and professionally. An aftermarket front bumper provides more aggressive styling cues over stock and flows excellently with the stock type M side skirts. The OEM wing was removed, and the trunk lid shaved in favor of a subtle rear trunk lip, a smooth complement to the classy silver and black color scheme on this skyline. The OEM 5 spoke wheels were removed in favor of a set of top of the line Advan RZ alloys, a perfect fit on this classic JDM chassis! The interior is in overall good shape, considering the age of the vehicle. The driver’s seat does show a light tear on the side bolster, but the remainder of interior fabrics are free of any major rips or burns. The dash is in overall good shape, with no cracks or fading to be found! The interior trim is in good physical condition, save for some typical age-related peeling, and all buttons and switches work as expected. The A/C was freshly recharged and blows ice cold! The OEM instrument cluster displays just 150,749 verified km (93k miles!) The clunky OEM steering wheel has been replaced with a sleek MOMO race unit, which feels great in your hands as you pilot this Skyline throughout backroad twists and turns. Turn the key and the RB25DET engine fires up without hesitation. This inline 6 powerhouse is a great platform for making some seriously fun power, and purists will be pleased to see that this one has not been extensively modified at all. Only a few choice modifications accompany this turbocharged powerhouse, namely a custom cold air intake, front mount intercooler, and aftermarket turboback exhaust system. Boost comes on strong, and the vehicle pulls smoothy to redline with no hesitations or hiccups. The transmission engages all 5 gears smoothly without any grinds or pop outs. We have always felt that the R33 is one of the more daily driveable skylines as overall driving dynamics are surprisingly smooth and refined. This Skyline tears up the corners thanks to a set of Apexi struts and lowering springs, which also eliminate unsightly wheel gap and give this R33 a vicious stance. If you’re looking for a lightly modified Skyline chassis with plenty of potential, this sleek skyline is a silver bullet ready to make your dreams come true!
