Americans have had the privilege of being able to legally import the R32 Skyline GTR for about 5 years now, a vehicle that, despite being decades old, still holds the ability to decimate modern tuner cars on both the street and track. However, the R32 is in a sort of transitional phase right now. With the supply of clean R32’s dwindling in Japan, examples such as this pearl white V-Spec II have ascended to collector car only status and enthusiasts are opting to store these vehicles away, retiring them from their roles as street cars and instead holding on to them in hopes that values will skyrocket within the decade. We believe that this particular GTR is one worth holding on to. With only 47,244 unverified km’s on the dash (29,356 miles!) this one owner R32 could potentially be a real collector’s item. The exterior is truly a sight to behold. The first thing you notice is the beautiful pearl white paint. Modifications to the exterior include a NISMO N1 style bumper, N1 trunk lip, East Bear carbon fiber hood, and an extremely rare set of clean Ganador mirrors. A clean set of white Volk TE37’s wrapped in good Bridgestone Potenza tires round off the subtle yet effective exterior mods. For some reason, the R32 looks particularly striking in white on white, there aren’t many cars that can pull this color combination off so effortlessly. The exterior is flawless, with no dents, scratches, or other damage! The interior is exceptionally clean. The dash, prone to cracking and bubbling, is in excellent shape! We suspect this V-Spec was kept indoors, as there are no signs of sun fading or damage to the interior. The bolsters on the stock seats are in great shape and the fabric is free of any rips and tears. Defi gauges throughout the interior help monitor engine vitals. A suite of exhaust temp, oil temp, water temp, boost, and oil pressure gauges all make sure the RB26DETT is always running in tip top shape. An aftermarket Momo steering wheel frames the gauge cluster, which has been affixed with an aftermarket 320k/h speedometer. The RB26DETT engine fires right up and produces a symphony of beautiful noises as you row the short throw shifter through the gears on the smooth shifting 5 speed manual transmission. The Kakimoto N1 exhaust system sounds fantastic, popping and burbling happily throughout the rev range. One look at this engine and you can instantly tell that a few modifications have been performed. Thankfully, the previous owner of this V Spec equipped this motor with top quality aftermarket parts. OEM Nismo N1 Turbos are a worthy upgrade over the stock units and are fed by a pair of twin HKS intakes with MAF delete tubes. You can’t ignore the massive ARC front mount intercooler peeking out from the bumper either. An aluminum radiator was installed in place of the flimsy OEM plastic unit, and an aftermarket air oil separator helps mend oil burning issues these engines are quite prone to. Lastly an HKS oil filter relocation kit has been installed. This mod makes the oil filter extremely easy to get to, as the RB26DETT’s stock filter location is definitely a chore to reach. Other modifications include R34 GTR engine covers and an HKS electronic boost control system. We’ve already taken care of the first oil change in house as part of our mandatory tune up procedure! As far as suspension modifications go, this car has been equipped with a few quality upgrades. Greddy coilovers provide a firm yet planted ride, coupled with aftermarket tension arms, this Vspec is set up to handle whatever curvy backroad you throw at it! The factory VSpec Brembo brakes provide a massive upgrade over the stock calipers so you can stop on a dime. The photos truly speak for themselves for this one. If you’re looking for a low mileage GTR to keep as a collector’s item or show car, this beautiful BNR32 is the best option.
